My card features my favorite Sale-a-Bration item: Tasty Trucks Stamp Set. This little truck is too cute and can be made into so many different styles. I went with a cupcake truck today complete with a cupcake pyramid. After coloring in my truck, I added a few DSP layers to give it some extra oomph. To finish the card, I added a trio of gold enamel circles.

Trucks in a Line

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a using your scraps. I always seems to have these little strips of DSP that I just can’t bear to throw away. It’s such pretty paper! So today I grabbed a couple of those random strips and made a platform on which to place my super cute taco trucks. I colored my trucks taking cues from the Party Animal DSP (adding in Real Red). I love how the strips of DSP bring an added element to the card.

  • Inks: Early Espresso; Real Red; Tangerine Tango; Crushed Curry; Tempting Turquoise; Emerald Envy
  • Cardstock: Party Animal DSP; Crushed Curry; Emerald Envy; Whisper White

Festive Cupcake Truck

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card with one of our favorite Sale-a-Bration items. I knew I had to have the Tasty Trucks Stamp Set when the sale launched. Apparently, everyone loves this set. Almost all of my club ladies picked this SAB item for their January orders. I’ll definitely be making more cards using this set and featuring one of them for February club. But first, let’s see my first attempt!

I knew i wanted to make a birthday card featuring the watercolor pencils and some bright bold colors. I used some of the remaining scraps from the Festive Birthday DSP pack to create some fun pattern layers. From there, I focused on my main image. I stamped the truck, embellishments (cupcakes, flags), and sentiment in Basic Black. I then light colored parts of the image with the watercolor pencils. I applied some water to create a soft colored image. I finished off the card with a couple Emerald Envy enamel shapes.

  • Stamps: Tasty trucks
  • Inks: Basic Black
  • Cardstock: Festive Birthday DSP; Emerald Envy; Pumpkin Pie; Whisper White
  • Accessories: 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes
  • Tools: Watercolor Pencils; Aqua Painter

Sunday Haul #1

Along with my new Big Make Things Happen Happy Planner, I grabbed some accessories before leaving Indiana. I grabbed some lined paper inserts, the Big Memory Keeping sticker pack, some clearance Michael’s planner stickers, and a variety of Recollections planner stickers. Also pictured is my fun new Doctor Who coloring book and colored pencils.

After getting back, I placed a smaller SU order from the Occasions Catalog for my January and February stamp clubs and classes.
