I decided to feature a simple love card featuring the beautifully simple Sending Love DSP. I’m not huge on Valentine’s Day cards and all the red and pink, so I tend to go pretty simple wth my cards. For today’s card, I focused on the heart shape and our Sending Love DSP. No extras embellishments or layers. I love how simple the cards is. One of my favorites.
Another fun heart card. Once I got started, I couldn’t stop myself from making another card…
Stamps: Happy Happenings; Love and Affection
Inks: Real Red
Cardstock: Sending Love; Real Red; Basic Black; Whisper White
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a 3D Valentine’s Day project. I’m not big on Valentine’s Day projects, so I made my own little project that could be perfect for Valentine’s Day or lots of other occasions. This project was so incredibly easy to make!
cut 5″ x 8″
score long side at 2″ and 5 1/2″
use adhesive along sides and the bottom edge (to create a “shelf” for your insert)
cut 2 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ and 1 7/8″ x 4 7/8″
cut 1 1/4″ x 8″
Make the label. I used two layering circle framelits.
Inside: perfect for a gift card or a little love note.
I started with the some of the colors of the card, then I looked for a stamp set to help create my forrest. Thankfully I had access to the Totally Trees stamp set. This set is great because of how many different tree designs are included. I focused on one specific tree and created my own forrest on the center piece. For the colored portion of the trees, I inked up each color and stamped off before stamping the tree. This created a softer texture that I love! From there, I added a layer of Fancy Frost DSP. The paper is embossed but doesn’t have the glossy sections like the Irresistibly Floral DSP in the annual catalog. I sponged some of the same ink colors around the DSP to mimic my forrest. Perfect card!
Stamps: Totally Trees; Happy Happenings
Inks: Soft Suede; Pool Party; Mint Macaron; Claypso Coral; Flirty Flamingo; Peekaboo Peach
Cardstock: Fancy Frost DSP; Island Indigo; Pool Party; Whisper White
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a washi tape card. I ended up directly CASEing a beautiful card from Leanne Johnson @ Literally My Joy. I rediscovered her card while searching for some way to incorporate washi tape and make a fun card for my card buffet class. I changed up the sentiment and colors, but kept the simple design. I love it!
Stamps: Happy Happenings
Inks: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Cajun Craze; Delightful Dijob; Very Vanilla
The love the simplicity of faux tiled cards. For mine, I pulled a piece of Affectionately Yours DSP to play off of. From there, I pulled some ink colors (Night of Navy, Cucumber Crush, and Daffodil Delight) and a stamp set that would go (Kinda Eclectic). For this card, I scored every 1″, but you can pick a different scoring amount. After scoring, I stamped and hoped some of the tiled effect would show. You can see it the best on the middle navy butterfly. After stamping, I finished my card with a strip of washi tape and a die cut sentiment.
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic; Happy Happenings
Inks: Night of Navy; Cucumber Crush; Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Affectionately Yours DSP; Very Vanilla; Daffodil Delight; Night of Navy
I decided to play off of the fun bright colors featured in the picture. I pulled out some bright DSP from the Festive Birthday pack and started matching it up. From there, I grabbed the coordinating ink colors to compliment the paper. These candles from the Build a Birthday stamp set were a perfect choice! The stark white background felt a little too plain so I added some circles from the Playful Backgrounds set. I finished off my card with simple sentiment.
Stamps: Playful Backgrounds; Build a Birthday; Happy Happenings
Inks: Daffodil Delight; Pumpkin Pie; Emerald Envy; Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Festive Birthday DSP; Emerald Envy; Whisper White
I’ve seen a few demonstrators offer this type of class and I thought I would try it out! Just like a buffet, you get to chose the cards you want to make from the various options! $24 gets you 8 cards. You can make 8 cards of one design, 4 cards each of 2 designs, 1 of each 8 designs, or some other combination. I love the idea of allowing the customer some personal choice. For my first card buffet, I went with an all occasions theme. So basically, a mix of different and interesting cards. The buffet is being offered during crop day on Sept. 11th from 10am to 6pm and on Sept. 20 @ 2pm. Email me at email@example.com to secure your spot!
Welcome to the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration blog hop! This month we are creating ABC 123 cards. That’s 1 stamp set, 2 pattern papers, and 3 embellishments. As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! Each card needed to have one stamp set, two paper patterns, and three embellishments. I decided to play off the beautiful patterns and colors of the Moroccan DSP. I didn’t initially fall for this pack of paper, but I’ve found myself wanting to pick up and use it more and more lately. Yea for me not hoarding paper like I usually do. So I layered some of the patterned paper on top of coordinating cardstock. The middle was pretty empty, so I added this beautiful die cut butterfly. For my embellishments, I pulled out the Dapper Denim color for the washi tape and ribbon. And went tone-on-tone with the Emerald Envy enamel shapes.
Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a a punch art card. I found a great punch art tutorial on Pinterest to make frogs. My mind went immediately to a fun nature inspired baby card. As complicated as this frog looks, it was fairly easy to make. I did have to modify the eyes as I do not have owl builder punch shown in the tutorial. No big deal, I can make something of it. Overall, I love this little baby card.

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a quick and easy card. My favorite quick and easy cards pack a lot of color, but are still easy to make. I started with the beautiful Affectionately Yours Washi Tape as my base. A simple sentiment was added in Night of Navy. And I finished the card off with a die cut flower from the Botanical Builder set.
