SSINKIC43: Bunny Wreath

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the photo below as inspiration.

I took my cues from the wreath encircling a bunny, but how to recreate it? Foxy Friends to the rescue. Obviously the Foxy Friends stamp set is made to create foxes, but you can make so many other animals with it. With a bit of modification, I made this cute little bunny. From there I started stamping and punching flowers to create a wreath. The circle itself left too much white space around the bunny, so I went back in to stamp some flowers on the piece of white. Much better. I finished off the card by adding a piece of DSP to give just a bit more visual interest. And voila! My cute little bunny wreath.

Easter Twisted Gate

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create an unusually shaped card. I chose to make the twisted gate fold. It looks complicated, but promise it was super easy to make. Do a quick Google search to find a tutorial. For my embellishments, I just added a few punched flowers to the outside.

The inside features a simple Easter message. A fun shaped card for today!

I decided to feature a simple love card featuring the beautifully simple Sending Love DSP. I’m not huge on Valentine’s Day cards and all the red and pink, so I tend to go pretty simple wth my cards. For today’s card, I focused on the heart shape and our Sending Love DSP. No extras embellishments or layers. I love how simple the cards is. One of my favorites.

Another fun heart card. Once I got started, I couldn’t stop myself from making another card…

SSINKIC41: Falling Hearts

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the picture below as inspiration.

I decided to take the colors I saw and make a fun Valentine card. I started by pulling some fun paper: Festive Birthday DSP (for Melon Mambo color), Blushing Bride, and Gold Foil. From there I punched out a ton of hearts and even colored the Blushing Bride with Wink of Stella Clear to give some extra shine. I then created some “strings” on which to hang the hearts. I finished the card with a simple big sentiment.

  • Stamps: Friendly Wishes
  • Inks: Melon Mambo
  • Cardstock: Festive Birthday DSP; Melon Mambo; Blushing Bride; Gold Foil; Basic Black; Whisper White
  • Accessories: Wink of Stella Clear; Black marker

SSINKIC39: Thanksgiving Scarecrow

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the inspiration picture:

SSINKIC39

I was drawn to the classic muted Thanksgiving colors of the inspiration picture. So, I decided to play off those colors and feature this adorable scarecrow from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set. I have so much fun coloring in these little images. So cute! After coloring him in, I choose some fun pattern paper to pull out the tablescape colors. Finally I added some ribbon and burlap to tie everything together.

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a Halloween card. I went super simple with my card today and decided to highlight the fun Halloween Night DSP. I love the fun mix of patterns and classic Halloween colors. I did add some silver foil washi tape to the one piece of paper and a little stamped sentiment to finish out the card. Now it’s time to go celebrate Halloween with massive amounts of candy!

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the technique below.

SSINKTC38

I decided to use my colored and embossed piece of cardstock to frame this little spooky skeleton. I’m especially fond of the polka dot pattern paper peeking through the oval and the edges. As a finishing touch, I added some Pumpkin Pie enamel dots to help “bling” up my card.

SSINKIC38: Jar of Bats

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using the inspiration picture:

SSINKIC38I decided to make a Halloween card using the colors I found in the picture. I want to featured the great Halloween Night DSP and the Pumpkin Pie Glitter Paper. From there, I decided to add some Halloween stamps but didn’t want to just use one of the big images from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set. Instead, I used the cute little bat in the set. Instead of just stamping the bat, I filled a jar full of bats and had them spill out. Such a fun card!10:17

Stacked Beasties

Today’s card is being featured on Stylin’ Stampin’ Inkspiration. The challenge was to create a card using one of the awesome Halloween stamps in the Holiday Catalog. As soon as I saw the Cookie Cutter Halloween set, I knew I had to have it! I wanted to highlight the cute little beasties, so I decided to stack them in “windows” using some coordinating cardstock and the gorgeous Pumpkin Pie Glitter Paper. Seriously, it is so sparkly! I love it! For my background, I doctored the dsp adding some pumpkin pie splatters and bats. I finished my card with a few strips of washi tape. With everything going on, I decided to forego a sentiment. I love this little card!
